The successful candidate should have a PhD degree in life science or related field with minimum 2 years of postdoctoral work. Relevant industrial experience would be plus. Excellent communication skills, the ability to work in a goal and term-oriented setting, well developed organizational skills, the flexibility to manage several projects simultaneously and the ability to thrive under pressure are also required. Responsibility includes: conduct and lead new medium development, existing medium optimization, cell growth supplement formulation and cell culture model research. Strive to understand and address the interaction of media components with each other to avoid aggregation, precipitation, solubility and filtration issues. Provide a clear technical point of contact for all questions and needs concerning cell culture media, their formulation and their preparation. The candidate should familiar with primary mammalian cell culture and characterization; familiar with medium components and cell growth factors; familiar with cellular and molecular biology technique. Experience demonstrating project leadership (both technical and strategic) is required.
Responsibility includes: conduct and lead molecular cell biology projects such as cell-based assay, stem cell differentiation and cell model for therapeutic purpose. The candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience in molecular biology technique, primary mammalian cell culture, cell characterization, cell transfection, cell differentiation, gene delivery and expression, genomic and proteomic profile construction, human primary cell engineering and specialty medium development, strong skills in using analytical tools, such as FPLC and HPLC, and techniques including affinity, ion-exchange, and size exclusion chromatography for protein purification and characterization.
