Dermal Cell System

The dermal cell system, also known as the integumentary system, functions to protect the body’s tissues and organs from dehydration, infectious organisms, and rapid temperature changes. In addition, the dermal system receives sensory information from the environment and produces melanin and vitamin D. Melanocytes, keratinocytes, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts are vital components required for normal skin development and function. Abnormal cell proliferation and regulation within the dermal cell system contributes to the development of pathological disorders such as eczema, psoriasis, and melanoma. We offer 14 types of normal human primary cells in the dermal cell system.
